PLEASE NOTE: This product is using the DIN standard which means it is a metric fitting (measured from pipe outer diameter or the inner diameter of a fitting) and will be compatible with most imported aquariums fittings such as Red Sea, Cade & Aqua One.

DIN plumbing is not compatible with SCH40 / DWV pipe and fittings found at local hardware stores. You can use a converter union or converter push fitting if you need to change from DIN to SCH40.

DIN plumbing uses the DIN (Deutsche Industrie Normen) standard for pipe sizes, which is based on the outer diameter (OD).
