Large amounts of sludge are not only unsightly in the aquarium but can also affect the quality of the water. The coarser the gravel, the more sludge will accumulate in the gaps. Food disappears in the bottom before it can be eaten, and the waste of the animals and dead plant parts also accumulate and may not get into the filter.
With the Gravel Cleaner Edge, especially corners and edges can be cleaned quickly and gently, so that sufficient useful bacteria remain in and on the substrate. Particularly fine gravel and sand can also be easily loosened and cleaned due to the bypass opening. Compaction of the substrate can thus be reliably prevented.
